Well network rail is a public body. So why shouldn't it be criticised including by those contractors that help maintain its network.
It's not Peter Hendys personal trainset and should be accountable to the public including through the press.
Imagine if a TOC started banning people from it's...
It ks unethical for the rail industry who should be open about safety issues and encourage frank and open discussion about them . So that they can be improved
The challenger disaster is a strong example of where someone whistleblowing using the approved procedure lead to fatalities.

But it will also put other people off raising issues in future particularly if they work or are contracted to network rail
It may not happen in Euston but if people feel like they cannot speak freely about safety issues, that is going to eventually to lead to safety practices stagnating and not improving..
Best practice often comes from debate , reflection and criticism
There seems something quite wrong about the culture of network rail . Where instead of facilitating discussion about safety issues in the rail industry , they would rather attempt to shut down those discussions. That is not healthy for the industry itself.and the price it will pay for this in...
My understanding is that tfl concessions work like this
1.) TfL provide all parties wishing to bid for that route a high level of detail on that routes performance , average route speed (Across the route) PVR /Loadings route mileage, stand info , average loadings etc ,etc
2.) TfL use a...
Dont tfl increase the amount awarded every year by inflation. They certainly do for rail which is why MTR and LO staff saw large wage increases. Indeed some bus operators had wage increases as well (10-12% range )
no tfl contract is going to be profitable though with 12% deductible mileage
Wouldn't it depend on the signage in the bike storage area as well , if it says cycles have priority then the person should move , if there is no priority or the priority is for something else (Eg wheelchairs/pushchairs) then the person has no obligation to.move.
I believe, that abellios operations were moved to the 719, for some reason and that ensign took the 718 . Ensign hired in a lot of third party companies to provide the service in North West London which is very unusual for an operator who was given notice.
I was sent out to check the 718,720...
I don't think they were , because there was no operation on the Saturday after sullivans pulled out
718: was novated to ensign buses on the 3rd August
720 was novated to London sovereign on the 3rd August
Both were scheduled to be run by sullivans
There are some smart tickets that cannot be read by the ticket machine (Eg ENCTS passes )and there is no ability to update them for things like rail replacement buses or when tickets from other operators need to be accepted
Yes but sullivans were contracted with months notice to provide a london bus with a working ticket machine , they bid for the contract on that basis this is different to a company saying they will run the service with only 12 hours notice , using whatever buses they can find.
Tfl Get no...
Northern line currently not stopping at kentish town. I believe break of journey is not allowed on sections of underground where there is dual availability. Except to change trains

It was closed slightly earlier because of police vehicles sorry I got my times mixed up
One Thing TfL has been very interested in recently is pavement capacity outside bus stops. I think it comes from the merging of the rail planning and bus planning directorate where the importance of things like how passengers flow through stations and stand on platforms has been transferred to...
