must also remember the market is to some extent European thanks to the interconnectors, so even if the was overcapacity in UK, if someone on the continent was prepared to pay a high price for UK generated energy that can also help set UK prices
What the price does not do (or at least often do)...
Also it's presumably £90.91 when operating, i.e. windy enough. How are costs such as providing battery backup and providing an alternate energy source backup counted for when comparing off-shore wind costs vs other means to constantly supply the countries energy needs?
Surely there is a more or less known design for previous 2a scheme so you'd only even think to deviate from this if you were very sure you can find some significant savings worth to go through a certain amount of re-design
How do prices compare to current prices we pay, how much will be needed to connect these into the grid (on top of what is already budgeted) and/or provide battery backup so the turbines turn as much as possible?
For me UK has 2 issues: 1 energy security where this obviously helps and 2: very...
what's the next step, i.e. what is the next part of the money allocated going to do, ground survey for example? Or still in modelling of something phase?
If the trainsets are 200m long and not 400m long does that mean some other maintenance options are available and not just Temple Mills as a 400m long maintenance road (or whatever the terminology is) is no longer a requirement?

If the additional services (or capacity with a E* double deck train) are in part for Paris & Brussels is there also capacity to process and room for additional passengers to wait in those stations? I.e all the discussion here is about St Pancras capacity & space but is that the only such issue...
meaning, when comparing outcome vs forecast it is important not just to measure the journeys but also the revenue (or the price paid per journey). Only that gives the full picture
I do find it quite surprising that, if it was a bit of a 'no brainer' this hasn't started already. Or maybe it has (at least preparations) and the info is not public
