Three Class 325s were shunted from Platform 2 today, out to the reception sidings, then back into Platform 3.
The one nearest the buffers was left there, and the two other units returned to Platform 2.
The only reason I can think for doing this is to gain access to the one side of the unit...
The mag stripe on a paper travelcard seems to be easily rendered unusable.
When I’ve had to travel via Ealing Broadway to get a 112 bus to Stonebridge Park during engineering work closures, the barrier invariably didn’t open. A young staff member looked at my paper ticket like she’d never seen...
Service delayed due to financial engineering works ?

I see that one of the graffitied Class 321s that was sat outside PRDC has now gone. Anyone have any idea when and where it was moved?
Can you share a link to this document? My colleagues within Royal Mail are asking me what’s happening with the old trains still under the roof, inside PRDC
Just can’t help wondering what would have happened if there’d been a revenue check on the way back to West Hampstead? Particularly if it occurred on departure from St Albans.
We very recently had London Overground services running between Willesden Junction and Stratford via South Hampstead during Christmas engineering works.
They were announced on departure and throughout as a ‘Lioness Line service to Stratford’. Don’t have any knowledge of how they were announced...
and the look on the faces of those trying exploit the Farringdon loophole may be quite amusing when they reach St Pancras and have to explain how they arrived there with no ticket…
YouTuber @networknathan gives a balanced assessment of the refreshed trains here

I did of course mean the Charing Cross platforms
Thanks for the replies.
I feel old when I realise that many of today’s generation have no experience of not having the connectivity that the Jubilee Line Extension brought to London!
TfL’s regular email about weekend engineering works states
“No service between Green Park and Stratford, including Saturday Night Tube” this weekend (10th/11th January 2026)
Is it possible that trains arriving from Stanmore will be turned in the platforms that are normally closed to the...
I was on a TL service where rowdiness was occurring in the front 1st Class section on a southbound Brighton service. Driver announced at Gatwick that if the loud music did not cease, the train would be held indefinitely. Had the desired effect, but once we got up to line speed, it re-started...
There’s a path (1GO3) from PRDC reception sidings to Birmingham International on 24th December.
Is Phil Read going on a Santa cruise, or perhaps the ghost of Ted Rogers is taking a pair of 321s out for a spin ?

Some passengers just can’t be helped, though.
Catching a train for London at St Albans the other day, I heard several announcements that a late-running train for Bedford ‘will now be departing from Platform 4’. The first of these was at least 6 minutes before it arrived, yet some people in...
