    National Express Coaches Discussion

Yeah, i did like the overnight coaches to/from London, as you could have a full day out then get the overnight back which i did do many times, rather than waiting for off peak to kick on the trains & miss half a day. Anyway, i see 422 Manchester-London, the Northbound service has a 70 minute...

    Flixbus Discussion

Following todays overnight N21 route on bustimes.org & the Northbound service has stayed on the M6 then M56 between Birmingham & Chester, but had a wild diversion in Birmingham as it went via A38 & M6 Toll, until i read the M6 around Walsall is closed overnight for roadworks. I think going down...

Bus services you think are useless.

I'll nominate the 129 Liscard-Frankby Cemetery, this service operates on Sundays only & one journey each way, but you only get 35 minutes at the Cemetery before the return journey starts, it goes by where i live & i never see anyone one it, it feels like one of those routes that's so invisible...

I doubt it considering Warrington will want buses on the 322 to be able to work with other Warrington routes.

    Flixbus Discussion

Whilst Flixbus don't have a bus station in Birmingham to stop at they have 2 stops in the City Centre, one stop Great Charles Street Queensway near Newhall Street, the other being the otherside of the City Centre at Aston University which makes it not great if you need to connect with Flixbus...

    ENCTS changes to Disabled Passes

That last sentence is a bit simplistic, many who have disabled ENCTS passes but don't travel on buses between 23.00 & 09.30 for various reasons, with the cost of living being the main reason. Whilst single fares may be £3, those that have disabled ENCTS passes who have to travel 5 days a week...

    ENCTS changes to Disabled Passes

You get 24 hour free travel in some areas now, but it has to be issued by that local authority, like in Merseyside, Merseytravel issued disabled ENCTS passes are valid all day in Merseyside, but you have to wait until 09.30 if you want to travel outside Merseyside using the pass.

    Flixbus Discussion

The standard route from Chester to Birmingham tends to be, A51, A500 & M6 which the Northbound service took until that got held up by a crash around junction 16 which closed the M6. Chester to Birmingham is interesting as they're multiple routes they can use, another one used sometimes used is...

    Flixbus Discussion

Out of interest, following the Southbound N21 route on bustimes.org & that had an interesting route from Chester to Birmingham where it goes non stop, it went via A41, M54, M6 then deviated from the M6 going via A4148 & A34 then back on to the M6 at Great Barr, arrived at Birmingham 15 minutes...

    Liverpool City Region-Bus Franchising

Yeah the lack of layover spaces is why the Cross River routes 407, 432, 433, 464, 471 & 472 continue through to Cook Street, but the Cross River routes go straight back out when they are late on arrival & often missing Cook Street altogether going straight from Whitechapel to Sir Thomas Street...

    Bee Network Service/Route Discussion

I find it odd whilst the 36 has a night service the 8 doesn't with last services on the 8 at 23.00 from Bolton, & 23.56 from Manchester, were as the 36 runs 24/7 until the changes in a couple of weeks, & even after the changes happen it's only 2 overnight services being removed from Monday to...

Not sure if Victoria Street stop could be reinstated as that's now one of the layover areas in that area for buses that terminate at Queen Square.

    Bee Network Service/Route Discussion

When Arriva operated the 575 reliability was appalling, you could often get 2 buses together on a 20 minute route, didn't help the 575 interworked the 362

I completely disagree the Wirral services are perfect as they are, most passengers get off the Wirral services at Whitechapel & board at Sir Thomas Street, & those stops are near the Birkenhead tunnel which is what most of the Wirral routes use 1786630488 The problem with Sir Thomas Street is...

TfGM Bee Network - fleet discussion

I see the 575 is being upgraded to have deckers on the route from the changes at the end of August, i remember when Blue Bus had deckers on the 575 being mixed with single deckers even well after Arriva bought Blue Bus, think Arriva replaced the deckers with the sapphire Pulsars which then...

The main reasons the 10A still goes through to Liverpool One is the lack of layover space around Queen Square area, & too keep a connection to Liverpool One to/from Queen Square. Remember a few years ago when the council ordered the amount of routes that used to go to Mann Island, James Street...

Then add in Queen Square stand 8, on the face of it it should be straight forward as buses using that stand (7, 61 Runcorn, 76, 78, & 79C) have light frequencies, but stupidly they're timed to depart at around the same time, like 61 at xx51, 79C at xx53, 76 at xx56, 78 at xx01, 7 at xx05, only...
