Good enough for northern but not TPE!!

I saw the title and felt compelled to read. I then felt compelled to query this:

Passenger dragged by scarf in train door at Holborn

I've had my arm shut in a bus door as I was boarding years back, with the bus then moving off. Managed to pull free before it got to more than running speed.

    Class 458/5

Ah. I inferred that there was a desire to use them there. I'd not digested the quoted bit, which made what I was going to say about hating "The blue trains" entirely moot.

    Class 458/5

I've never seen a 458 beyond Guildford, and I don't think I've ever seen one there outside of the sidings. Are they even cleared for Portsmouth?

Daily Mail: train cancelled whilst guard is in sainsburys...

They're all interchangeable. You could pick up any guard and just plop them into any train! Or grab you to do it. Pressing a button and looking at coloured lights isn't that hard, so walking up and down asking to see tickets and pressing the "ding ding" button can't be much of a stretch...

Stray artillery shell from Salisbury Plain Range falls near railway line

I'd say "Union bosses would have a heart attack if they found their members were at risk of being shelled by the army whilst working" But that may be too soon

Class 455 incident at Waterloo Sunday evening

So, a staff member could be in the wrong place at the wrong time and fall! :P Seriously though, has there ever been a case in the history of corridor stock of someone falling because units have split or carriages have detached? I'd imagine it to be similar odds to winning the lottery...

Class 455 incident at Waterloo Sunday evening

Someone could have fallen through if they were in the corridor connection when they split! It could have been a child! Somebody think of the children!!! Sensational enough? :P

Network Rail apologises over level crossing deaths

Man walking with a red flag in front of every train?

Daily Mail: train cancelled whilst guard is in sainsburys...

Being delayed at London Bridge is a "nightmare"?

Kings Cross mainline to Victoria Line

Thanks. I'd dread to think what a full render of the track and normal public access tunnels would look like.

Kings Cross mainline to Victoria Line

Where on that would the old Kings Cross Thameslink and the current St Pancakes Thameslink be? ISTR the walk from KCSP Northern (I think) to the Thameslink platforms being quite epic

Guard scribbles on train ticket - Rejected at barriers

And if you have paid cash for the ticket you have no card slip

Guard scribbles on train ticket - Rejected at barriers

I was answering the "Unfair on the majority who aren't trying to defraud the TOC" post that you ninjaed me on :P

Guard scribbles on train ticket - Rejected at barriers

At the end of their journey, why would they travel further on it? I've asked gateline staff to let me retain my ticket for expenses purposes a fair few times (since the barrier would eat it)

    Worst use of stock art?

There was one linked a while back here about recent delays to commuters. It was showing slamdoor stock

    How are delay minutes calculated?

Logistic question, which will just sound morbid. Apologies in advance... Someone suicides at an NR station. Is that delay to NR or the TOC that hit them? Someone suicides by electrocution at a station - no train involved in the incident. NR's track killed them, not the TOC's train. Still...

Doors opened with carriages off the platform

Your use of that Futurama meme is bad and you should feel bad!

Weather related disruption - Christmas 2013 and New Year 2014

BBC News / Network Rail Am I reading the signs right? After driving through the giant pit, you are allowed to run at line speed again?

    SWT livery colours

That would stop them whining about having to get "one of those blue trains" to Portsmouth
