You most likely won't here back until a while after advert closes, but if your video questions are good then should only be at most a couple days to see if you have met the requirements for a interview
No, it can take upto a month after advert closes to get an interview if invited.
Shift pattern is 0700-1900/1900-0700
With agreement in place between signallers to do 0630-1830/1830-0630
Yeah it's slow unfortunately, I applied last year for G9 and about a month later got an interview, then was 2 weeks later I got told I was on reserve list.
So be prepared for a very long wait depending on how fast they need to fill the positions.
Jeez that's some distance from derby haha.
I honestly couldnt say cause G8 I applied for is within 10 minutes from me so I clicked yes, maybe if you click no to the question where it asks if you live within 50 minutes it might pop up asking about relocation.
If its for a Signaller, then yes, anything in the railway is slow, can take upto a month from job advert closing for them to provide an interview date.
Keep an eye out it will eventually come.
Once you completed the tests you should've got the option to download your test feedback, may be worth looking in downloads folder on the device you completed the tests on and see if it's in there.
If not I'm not sure you can get back into the system to have a look, you may be able to click the...
i did a G9 application last year in may and was put in a reserve pool for a lower grade, this year i have applied for G8 but because they changed recruitment process i had to complete everything again.
i technically still have two applications open, my original G9 is still in reserve pool and i...
You can not take test unless you have a microphone and webcam so they monitor you at all times.
They don't live monitor you, but the recording are sent to be analysed to make sure it's the same person and no one can be heard helping
Yeah i completely get that just giving some other people a heads up as some said they where asked about holidays and thought they wouldnt unless you had maybe passed interview.

Yes just in December.
I never redone a question, but from what I read it's you can record 2 time and you get the choice, but the way I see it, is it said it will show you re-recoreded and could point to hesitation (just my opinion) so I opted to stick with my first recording, says I passed and waiting on interview...
You'd be surprised, mines last year was still video interview, but I've heard that the bigger signalling centres don't really want joe public inside due to sensitive info etc.
But G2 may be a In person one, not to mention I'm scotland and they see to do things differently up here anyway haha...
Going off the last time I applied for a G9 and got put in reserve list, no paper tests
Mines was online tests then video interview.
After applying for G8 because they changed the recruitment system, I have had online tests, video questions and now I believe it's a video or face to face interview.
Yeah typical competency based questions
Name a time where something went wrong ...etc
Answering using STAR technique and you only have 3 minutes to answer so try pack info in that involves safety and things they are looking for.
You will getting a video of a person asking a question, then 1.5 minutes to prepare your answer, then recorded you answering it.
Mines was for G8 and had 4 questions altogether, so may be different for G2.
Sorry to hear that, what did you feel didn't go well if you don't mind me asking.
And no your stage 1 tests are kept on file I'm sure so if apply again you will go to dmi again
