No it is not. It is the best they choose to do. When a refund is evidently because of a systems failure (so therefore cannot be part of a money laundering exercise) an organisation should be required to offer the refund immediately in cash or replace at no charge.

Not exactly thrash but a loaded peak service 2 from Bath Bus station often seems as if it’s not going to make it to the top of the hill - and I’ve been on one not that long ago that didn’t.

If you’re an occasional but long- time user of the station, it’ll take a lot longer than a year to wipe what’s been imprinted on your brain for 30 or 40 years. On my now rare visits to Edinburgh Waverley I get thoroughly confused as I grew up with the old numbering.

Though once you’ve made one claim, all subsequent ones are a lot simpler (especially on a.season)

IIRC, there are precedents (don’t know about the rail industry) for test cases to be brought so that there is no doubt of the legal status and to “test the.water” in advance of more contentious cases.

I would suggest that nothing (as it stands) is a true “no brainer” - as t would already have been done if it were. A brand new town / large development slap-bang on an under capacity line with slack in the timetabling and at the “Goldilocks spot” in terms of distance from likely destinations is...
