I believe it it something to do with EU built vehicles. They have to have it when testing/transitting through the mainland however I’m sure someone is a lot more knowledgeable on this than me!

Normally with these tickets I just fold it in such a way that 1) it fits in my wallet nicely and 2) so that just the barcode is visible. Needless to say, this only works with a couple of tickets and not multiple however this is my go-to when the superior CCSTs are not available
