Why does the yutongs on Aberdeen route need a charge at Glasgow - surely they could do a round trip and charge only at Aberdeen?
Surprised Citylink haven’t got more operators to consider EVs
Shunters and movements into and out of craigentinny
The amount of driver requirements for shunt moves alongside the actual shunters is crazy
Whilst also considerably most of the delays occur due to the time and complex split and connections so will save delay costs
If top and tail both sleepers then would save issues at Carstairs and also Edinburgh. Shunts from Euston would be easier aswell.
If did that then one could go round the sub and then head to Inverness or Fort William and then only need 1 loco to join.
That would probably be a massive cost saving
With the X19 now based at WCM, have advertising on the vehicles stopped and metro newspapers be removed?
Looks to be a few vehicles running with no adverts or old ones that have been up for ages
If going to Abroath for the X7, I would imagine that these will be tri axle yutongs and be charged during the layover at Dundee to keep them all day.
7 for a requirement (currently) of 6 might allow some swapping or will we see Dundee based workings also introduced since the recent licence...
Currently have fleet of 25 for 19 diagrams but presume they never actually achieve this.
Slightly off topic but will the upgrades and better reliability near enough ensure full coverage on GLQ/EDB - ABD/INV routes and release 158/170s for capacity
I wouldn’t hold your breath - this is the removal of the ferry to fund the service if to happen.
Govt want to cut the ferry times and they say this is more cost effective but as we know will take ages to happen
Is there any maps of the current speeds and new speeds through junctions?
the timetable seems to be holding not too bad without the current set up shours only improve post opening
