Thanks, I've added Euston and Stirling LUMO in
Hi all, this is a great resource for a newbie.

I'm preparing for a DMI with XC. If anyone has any route updates for Derby and/or Leicester, it'd be greatly appreciated.

I'm assuming they're correct, but the last forum posts querying XC routes outside of this thread date back to 2015/19, so cautious to take as gospel and probably no harm in checking.

Cheers!
It's as up to date as I can make it. Sadly there aren't many XC staff on this forum, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't pretty accurate
Amendment for Bristol parkway

Bristol Parkway GWR
Traction:
16x,80x
Routes:
Bristol PW - Paddington via Hullavington
Bristol PW - Gloucester - Cheltenham Spa
Gloucester - Swindon via Kemble
Bristol PW - Cardiff
Bristol PW - Bristol TM
Bristol TM - Swindon via Box
Bristol TM - Severn Beach
Bath Spa - Westbury (Link 1 only)
Thanks, all updated
For Worcester Shrub Hill GWR, there's a section that says they sign "Worcester-Worcester". Is this a typo - for Hereford perhaps?
Yes, not sure how that one slipped though but I've fixed it - thanks for letting me know
Also, would Class 230s go into Paddington GWR as signed traction, given 230001's emergence on the Greenford branch?
I could do with some confirmation on this one actually - I know the original plan was to train up all the Paddington drivers who signed Greenford on 230s, but then the entire project was abandoned - and then brought back again. I assumed it was still only a few DIs working them given they're only running one day a week, but if someone can confirm regular drivers are getting trained I'll happily add it in.

do crewe lnwr drivers only operate as far as rugby on the trent valley sections and then have a driver swap?
Correct. They used to sign beyond to Northampton, but that ended not long after the Trent Valley services started running via Weedon instead. Crewe guards work through to London, but not the drivers.

It is, or is intended to largely be all Greenford drivers yes

Some Plymouth (HSS) Drivers also sign:
Liskeard - Looe.
Newton Abbot - Paignton / Goodrington Yard.
And now Class 175’s.

Plymouth (GWR) Drivers DO NOT sign HST’s.

Penzance (HSS) Drivers also sign:
Truro - Falmouth
And Class 08’s.

However it is only instructor drivers on HSS who sign Lisk to Looe. Not aware of anyone who signs Paignton and Goodrington still? Maybe an instructor has manged to keep ot on their card, however in a general sense I think Paignton and Looe should NOT be included for Plymouth HSS as 99 percent of us don't sign these routes anymore. We WILL of course be learning 175s from Septmeber onwards.

All Plymouth (HSS) Career Structure Drivers (Leading Driver, Route Assessor and Instructor Drivers) have retained Looe and Paignton on their route cards.

I've deleted the outdated HST reference at GWR Plymouth, and added in the extra details for Penzance, thanks for letting me know.

My personal belief is that only routes signed by regular drivers in a link with actual booked work (or with Route Refresh days) should count, and not whatever extra knowledge is picked up by drivers involved in training.

I know at my own TOC we have instructors who picked up all kinds of random bits of route knowledge to help role out new traction, but a new driver starting at the same depot those instructors are based at would have almost zero chance of ever learning them.

I'm happy to debate the above; I'm just the guy who compiled this list, I'm not an expert - but that is my personal view, so for now I've not added the extra routes mentioned for Plymouth.

Correct decision in my view. I'm not aware of a single Plymouth driver driving to Paignton (instructor or otherwise) since we lost the work a year or so ago, so having it listed would be disingenuous to anyone viewing the thread considering transferring/ applying to Plymouth.

Avanti WC Polmadie (and potentially Edinburgh) sign Newton East Jn - Motherwell Via Hamilton too, they usually run the Polmadie-Edinburgh ECS runs on this route Sunday morning, and occasionally use this as a divert

I believe the info on Northern rail at Lime St may be out of date? I'm trying to establish exactly what routes they do these days, can anyone out there offer an updated route card?

Which bits are you thinking are out of date? I don't think there's been any changes for a while :)

So apparently Blackpool ISNT link dependent, but Stalybridge,Chester and Crewe all ARE link dependent.

Would anyone have the low down at Wigan? IE are the routes listed up to date, and are they link dependent??? TIA
