Ah thanks for confirming, have been looking everywhere but couldn’t see it confirmed! Would make sense that they are applying for the MU speeds, especially the parent company being First.

ScotRail are having them apparently. They may be shuffled about from 6 car to 5 though.
What 805s? They do not have any on order for the Lumo Stirling services do they?
They have 14 units on order, for the Carmarthen service, with the remainder to go to Lumo East Coast and Hull Trains if I remember correctly?

I’ve heard that they’ll keep 601-605 for use on other routes they may make that aren’t electrified, and that they have some ideas on the drawing board (can’t remember what though, I think something to the south-east of London maybe)

Logical home for them really.
They may keep them as 6s, given they'll have the three spare intermediates they could have nine 6-car sets potentially and they would fit anywhere a 2+5 HST can.
Does anyone know when these are expected? I’m assuming it will be a mix of 802s and 803s instead of a new 80x variant?
With the 222s from EMR going to Scotland , will they not have more than required to replace HSTs
Lumo are keeping them as far as I’m aware. Even once replaced on the Stirling route they’ll likely be used on other proposed routes

that's certainly as I understand it from what's been suggested in the press.
At present they'll be used on the WCML route... IF they can secure a longer term track access agreement, they'll order Hitachi units for the route... with the 222s transferred to a Cardiff to York route (again) if they can a secure Track access agreement

The 222s can run at MU, all signed for for testing and then passenger use prior to service introduction. With the MU only going to Weaver, it is PS north of there…

Well I found them better than the Cross Country units, when I caught them on the St Pancras service.. but not by much..

They are and they don’t have the cell repeater/boosters that Virgin fitted to the 221s and 390s. Not sure if it has been upgraded but the EMT(R) wifi was always pretty unreliable at best

Looks like 222603 is getting its first run in service today. According to Real Time Trains it's been allocated a path from Wembley then to 1S03 1636 to Stirling.

Possibly too much detail; but does the re-seating involve moving the seat reservation status indicators in the luggage racks? And do the former first areas, now standard, retain the individual lights below the luggage racks? (There was an MF converted to MC by MML long ago which retained the latter in the former first class, so it might be more complicated.
Is this perhaps minor detail a major task to change?

One each way Mon-Fri, though weekend services were meant to be running now and are apparently running this weekend.
Supposed to go to two services each way from the 19th.

It also states to "Please check our journey planner to see which services are running." which does cast doubt over the information on that page...
Could anyone kindly provide the set-formation for 603 - and 602, if known?

222603 showing on RTT as five cars, so I went to the trouble of watching 1S03 yesterday on railcam and it was six cars, and the discussion on there also seemed to confirm that 222601 had gone to Central Rivers.
