I read the article. Surely it is time to reprice annual season tickets so they are calculated at 3 working days a week plus 4 weeks holiday. This would be approx 31 weeks. TOCs need the certainty of annual seasons. People will buy them if they are not too expensive.

At Purley, it takes 30 seconds to a minute for the doors to open on Platform 3.

This is all academic as the service is down to a very poor level with multiple cancellations due to trains needing repairs.

There is no bus replacement to Caterham - tickets will be valid on route 407, which makes sense as it follows the same route as bus replacement except it does not go right up to Purley Station.
