Irish Rail 1-day hop fares query

I intend to go on a ramble within the Dublin region ticket zones but I don't know the fares for each of the hops apart from one. I'm looking for the prices of the following Hops for one day's travel (listed according to railusers.ie): Inner Short Hop: Rush & Lusk, Maynooth, Hazelhatch &...

    NI Cross-Border through-tickets

I've got a monthly return ticket between Carrickfergus and Cork (which makes it an NIRailways paper ticket), but having already been to Cork once last week, I would next time want to break in the journey, even only going as far as Newbridge (which is on the Dublin-Cork mainline), then going back...

    Opportune locations for Eurostar photography

In 3 weeks time, I'll be going to London for the day, and because it's just one day, I'll have a very small window of opportunity, seeing as London is crammed with railway stations and high street shops. :D Work cut out already. Within the confines of London, which flyover, footbridge or rail...

    Platform Tickets London St Pancras

So it looks hopeful about getting access to the Southeastern platforms at St. Pancras. I would assume the chances of getting allowed access onto the Eurostar platforms are zilch, short of getting a return ticket to France and coming back, but one wouldn't be that desperate! XP

    Ireland's Railways

NIR have 5 operational diesel locomotives. Out of Iarnrod Eireann/Irish Rail's fleet of thirty-four 201 class loco's, two of them (8208 and 209) are owned by Northern Ireland Railways and they share Belfast/Dublin Enterprise duties (very, very occasionally seen on the Dublin/Cork Intercity...

The Craziest Rail Journey i ever travelled!

On February 19th last year, I went on a trip to Dublin to photograph their two big railway stations. When I arrived back in Belfast I boarded the 2130 Belfast Central/Larne Harbour service. The trainset was 8459 'Killyleagh Castle' and it broke down at Whiteabbey halt. After about twenty minutes...

I hope to see a class 70 when I visit Carlisle this autumn, with plenty of Pendo's and Voyagers.

    Rail Scene Ireland

Yes I can see that. They've been removed for quite some time. Completely sealed off at the loco end ala refurbished 2700 railcars, and no connection as of yet on the other end, but as I said I expect it to be connected when it goes into service.

    Rail Scene Ireland

Nice. The Mark 3 looks good in a set. Did 7604 make the journey up north for repainting like 7608 and 7613 or was she repainted at Inchicore? Can't wait to the whole train up north. I expect the gangways between the DD and the Mk3 to be connected when they go into service. Can't have the gaurd...

    Trainspotter Ziggy

Hi. I'm Ziggy Shadow-Dust and I like to point out that I bungled up my username on registration so I'm missing a letter 't' at the end. My baaaaad. I'm from Northern Ireland, live in Carrickfergus, roughly 800 yards from the Belfast-Larne line where all the NIR thumpers go, including the...
