  • oh nice never called me lol. Have got my fingers crossed for you as well mate will have to let me know how yours went.
Personally dont ask about progression onto other roles. someone asked while i was there and one of the woman said we are looking for you to stay in this role for at least 2 years as we spend so much money on training. Or if you do ask just make sure you say in a couple of years something like that. Not sure what or where the training is they did mention something about a classroom. would be another question worth asking.
First train is 4:29am and last train is 1:30am. Use that as one of your questions to them as they are looking for you to ask them questions as well so would be a good one to ask. I asked about rotas and they explain about it all. did not say anything about the shifts though just the first and last train times.
Nah they were playing that one close to there chest they were just saying if we are northern or any other name
same to you mate. they said they have immediate jobs and jobs starting in April. Is around 5 months training.
Its all for which ever station you applied for no choice unfortunately. The group ex you have to look at northern what they do well and what they could improve. i was nervous at the start but they make it so relaxing for you.
Cool :) im pritty nevous. Did you get to change ur choice as id prefer york over leeds but im not really bothered. What sort of things did you talk about in your group ex ? Is it all aboyt customer service
yeah there are tons of jobs going. Your sat in a room with two managers, ones taking notes of everything you say and the other is asking you to give examples of previous experiences of certain things like name a time you have had to achieve something within a time frame questions like that.
oh when you arrive will see about 12-15 managers but as i said dont worry about it as they are all really nice.
Was good, Just be yourself is best tip i can give and really sell yourself.

We were told today that we beat over 1000 applicants to get to this stage and anyone who passes this stage will get a job basically. The group one is to see how you work as a team. Then its a 2 managers and you in a room and they ask you 5-6 questions about previous experiences. Do not worry at all though they are all really nice and really really helpful. Will find out in around 7 days either way so is fingers crossed lol
Yeah. I took my lad out on the train for the day... Had a mix of good customer service and bad (not nothern). Is the group ex all about customer service
lol same here been over 9 years since my last interview. I'm heading over to Leeds station tomorrow have a chat with some of the staff there and have a look round. You managed to do anything yet?
