    RHTT Season 2026

You're right, I've just checked the freight master logs and it was later than I thought. No idea why I thought it was beginning of September.

    RHTT Season 2026

This Sunday's 3W90 is shown as VAR* (albeit still routed via the shut plumpton line), I'm guessing it'll start this week or next... *VARiation of existing permanent working timetable. A var indicates a variation to timings to prevent clashes with other timetabled services where there might be...

    Portsmouth to IOW?

0S00 is used for freight light movements sometimes, 0B00 as well, so it's throwing traksy off.

Significant sparks from the 73s on departure from Lewes. Especially under the footbridge. Fantastic catch for me if I am a boaster ;)

Thameslink to replace cushions on class 700 ironing board seats to improve comfort.. Finally..

Considering these are metro units with frequent calling patterns, are seats really a priority? While I'm all for comfort, I've never found the seats "bad" on any trains.

Lewes derailment - Thursday 13th August

Not booked but I captured this a while back. Same principal except this only had 1 66. It ran around at Hampden park, left it's wagons there, down to Eastbourne, back up over the crossover . And for info, there's a gbrf booked tomorrow morning as well to day aggs.

Lewes derailment - Thursday 13th August

As of 6am the 47s are attached to the front of 387172 in double header formation switched off.

Lewes derailment - Thursday 13th August

Need to get the 47s on both ends of the train for that to happen, only place that can be done (at least during service) would be somewhere like Eastbourne or Newhaven marine where they can take one of the double headed 47s and change to top and tail, for the onward move to wherever. Considering...

Lewes derailment - Thursday 13th August

A point I overlooked. I thought they'd collect the front (presumably undamaged) unit where it stands once track fixed. But your idea of taking it to Lewes (or Newhaven sidings even) sounds more plausible

Lewes derailment - Thursday 13th August

Interesting how it's 2x 47s*. You'd think only one needed to attach to the north end and drag it wrong line to Keymer Junction like the cranes did. Unless a reversal at Lewes is needed for whatever reason, or maybe the front 387 is going to lovers walk instead of selhurst? To get a 47 on each...

Lewes derailment - Thursday 13th August

Appears the line between polegate and willingdon junction is shut today (Saturday), reportedly due to buckled rail. Obviously caught that one in time. Eastbourne services from Brighton terminating at Polegate VVAR

Impact of Lewes derailment on Southern fleet availability

Not directly related to this thread then, but dB cargo 66 is at marine with its freight . Assume that'll run light engine London via Brighton to release it.

Lewes derailment - Thursday 13th August

Personally I don't know what the difference is. Lewes has a big curve on platform 1 and 2 and definitely has on board staff to dispatch it
