I will be back working up in northern England in York again for a few weeks . And will be commuting in from Thirsk by train . I came in from Harrogate last time and it was terrible on Northern Rail only 2 old cars standing all the way . My question is at evening rush hour will it be packed on...

Do bus companies have the same responsibility as a TOC to make sure you get safely home to your destination late at night for example to provide another bus or pay for taxis ?. A TOC kindly paid for a shared taxi a few years back when our service was cancelled .
