24 Hours of London - redux

Well done fella. Very best of luck, record all the stations you change at. I'll be interested to hear all about it.

Ref stops play to watch steam train

As HLE says their is often a white sightscreen behind the bowler which allows the batsman to pick up the ball easily. If you're having a small red object thrown at you from less then 22 yards away then being able to see it is important...

    West Midlands advice

Indeed there is. My apologies I'd forgotten that the J+J was there. I haven't lived in Leam for about 2 years so didn't remember that one.

    West Midlands advice

Not sure of many decent pubs near LMS station - I used to live in the area... It's certainly not the nicest part of town. There is however a Morrison's about 3/4 mile up the road where there is a cafe if you wanted something more like a cup of tea?!

Maybe I look like a ticket inspector...

I get asked frequently about different platforms, connections, ticket types etc. and I certainly don't look like a guard/ticket inspector. 20 Year-old male, with long hair in a ponytail, cap or some form of hat, and very very rarely do I wear a tie to travel, let alone a suit. Cheap tickets/travel

Now they're tempting :D Gives me a chance to tick off some more stations on my challenge! Thanks for the advice about fair routing, I'll keep that in mind when I do the interview - don't want to ruin things for people in an attempt to be helpful.

    Cheap tickets/travel

Hi, I'm looking for advice on how to get cheap tickets/travel on all forms of public transport. Reason being - I host a show on my uni radio station and on Wednesday I'm recording a show with a few other students about how to "Travel on the Cheap". Now I know about train ticket splitting...

    PCV Mileage Competition 2015

Public transport buses only... That's how I'd do it, because one of the irregular routes round Oxford way occasionally uses a minibus on their Saturday/Sunday services... Public transport means that way any bus size can be included.

    PCV Mileage Competition 2015

Think mine works out at around 400 miles for this year so far. I keep a tally of my trips but not which route or from/to where, so that's only a estimate working from memory of routes taken.

Can I count my miles to lectures? Seeing as I'm a student and lectures are instead of work should I count them??

    Visiting EVERY National Rail station

    Reddish South and Denton stations

Does anyone know how often trains run to/from Reddish South and Denton stations (Nr Manchester)? National Rail doesn't seem to show any trains running from there.
