Thank you! That does make sense. I haven't had my first day yet, have just been sent the Northern Rail card in the post so I thought I'd ask here and not make a fool of myself on my first day! Are the cards valid for peak services?

Thanks for the information, the card I am describing is a Northern Rail pass, so am I right in thinking I will receive something else to show when buying tickets for other TOCs? I just feel a bit nervous about boarding a train with no ticket Monday morning haha!

Unlike the original poster my medication is just on a ''as and when'' basis and I usually take a very low dose before things like driving tests, public speeches. Not everyday, my prescription also says "take when necessary" as opposed to daily. Do you think this will go in my favour?

Exactly, so if I have been taking a medication for a while and say it doesn't make me drowsy/tired, will they take my word for it? Or just not employ me etc?

Just wondering, what if you are on medication that *could* cause drowsiness but for you personally they don't? Im taking a few things that list these as side effects but I feel fine and have never been drowsy on them..would they just assume the worst though?

I applied for Manchester Piccadilly and had my assessment on the 7th Aug in Manchester. I got a call today saying I was being offered a place on the 30th Sept, but at Victoria. Bit gutted as I would have much preferred Piccadilly but obviously couldn't turn it down!
