    That would be the media screen, which was installed after the PIS screens (which are on the carriage ceilings and always show journey information) and not that long ago was only used to show adverts.

    There was a line through Ripon - it closed in the 60s. There have been several proposals for reopening, but the money could probably be spent on many better things.

    That's coming. There is reciprocal acceptance between all of the DfT operators, and as new operators get transferred across they get added to the acceptance. Why the DfT can't arrange that any sooner I have no idea.

    Air leaks in car 1 and 8 meaning a loss of main air pressure on the whole train. There's no way you can move forward until that is resolved. If a stranded train can be moved safely to a better location at a reduced speed, it will be. I don't believe this is true. It's not the case here anyway...

    There's no big parts issue with any 15x. If parts are needed they can be fabricated from the original drawings, or new modified parts can be sourced to replace obsolete ones (e.g. new PIR sensors for the vestibule doors, new step well light units, LED body side lights to replace the incandescent...

    Both are 57 cars. I believe they are going into existing 158s to form an additional two 3 car units.

    Any spare 158s would be much more valuable to operators as units than spare parts. There was significant interest in the TfW 158s that were due to become available (before the lease was extended).
