Very common. Best advice is to call HR and ask to speak to the resourcing advisor for that particular vacancy (otherwise they wont know much more than you do about it)

It can be a very long process - I am still waiting for interview after completing assessments on 09/09/15. I have now found out why though - the move to ROCs has been cancelled (in my area, at least) so they had to change roles to permanent and sort contracts with existing staff first.

So after my original application hanging as 'under consideration for assessment 2' for just under two months, then the application being reassigned to another 'pool' vacancy which HR could tell me nothing about, it has now been assigned to a grade 2 vacancy miles away. I'm getting pretty fed...

Cant answer your question about depots, but wow I was part way through application today and suddenly the job was no longer available, talk about high competition!
