I applied for a vacancy that was a grade 6, 18 month fixed term contract in August.
Had the assessments on 8th September, told on 9th I'd passed all in the top 5 so was put forward for interview.
Application showed as 'under consideration for assessment 2' until beginning of November, where it then was closed and reassigned to another vacancy 'Medway resignalling vacancies'. Where it has then stayed, again showing as 'under consideration for assessment 2'.
However, there are now two vacancies advertised for Maidstone (which is where the one I have been reassigned to is based), but they say "Please note, if you have applied for this vacancy previously and your application is still live, you do not need to apply again". Well, technically I haven't applied for that role, but it seems I have been reassigned to that area. I called HR to ask them if that means I don't need to apply - they couldn't tell me, just said if I wasn't sure then I should apply.
I will probably apply for the grade 5 one (the other is grade 3), but I don't want to annoy HR/LOM if I shouldn't be applying as per the message on the advert.
Also the original role I applied for was grade 6, does anyone know if it will stay at grade 6 now it has been reassigned? Obviously a drop to grade 5 wouldn't be a massive problem, but a drop to grade 3 would be!
Apparently I could be waiting a while for an interview as recruitment has been frozen recently.
