On Saturday, I am planning the following trips. No railcard, either contactless or split tickets.
Amersham - Basildon
(local bus to Rayleigh)
Rayleigh - London Bridge
London Bridge - Amersham
I wondered how capping would work since the stations are close together - is there a zone system of...
Thanks for the replies so far, I think I will chance it, get off at Lille and as nwales58 said, just allow plenty of time. Enough maybe even to get back to Lille from Brussels if needed.
Hi.
I have a Eurostar booked to 'Any Belgian Station' for 8th March.
However, it would be more convenient for me to get off at Lille, as I may go to Paris.
I know it has been possible in the past, but was unsure if Brexit has affected anything.
The official answer is
'You are not able to...
That's an incredible find, thanks. I am guessing the barrier will just let me through with this. First train into Wycombe from London gets in at 06.32 so there can be no argument that my journey wasn't logistically possible if I encounter a pedant.
I am thinking of going to Shrewsbury on Saturday.
Looking to arrive in Shrewsbury around midday and depart around 18:00. Also looking to stop in Birmingham on the way home if time to spare.
I have a Network Railcard
Most favoured trains are
07:28 High Wycombe - Birmingham Moor Street 09:06...
I am looking to go from High Wycombe to Warminster on Saturday. This will be my first time using split tickets and using an alternate route, so I'd appreciate some kind person double-checking that I've not messed up. I have a Network Railcard and I got this fare via a site called Split...
I've pretty much done all the work myself, but have a couple of slight queries.
I've found that I can do this journey for £27.20 on my Network Railcard. Splitting at Sevenoaks.
Times as follows
Buy split ticket
High Wycombe to Sevenoaks (£17.20)
Sevenoaks to Bexhill (£10.00)
£27.20
Leave...
Journey details
Saturday morning, aiming to arrive in Chatham around 12.30.
I'll be purchasing a network railcard for the first time
It'll be a return journey.
I'll also be buying Plusbus at Chatham end
I'm looking to have a day out for the first time in ages without the car and am off to...
I am planning a trip out on the trains on the 3rd March. I will be departing and returning to High Wycombe, but apart from that I am pretty open as to where to go. I've already found fares on Red Spotted Hanky that will get me to and from Birmingham (arriving at Birmingham at 08:59 and departing...
Thanks, I used Red Spotted Hannky before without issues. I have worked out it will cost me around £25 in petrol, so will probably take that option, unless I can shave a few more quid off of the Brum to Leicester return
No Railcards
Saturday 28th January

Arrive Leicester before 13:00, depart after 18:00
Thanks in advance
The cheapest I have found so far is £20 from Chiltern Railways, which is about a tenner less than the petrol, would like to shave a bit more off to swing my decision.
Details are:
