hi, could anyone tell me if the trainee depot train driver recruitment process is the same as a trainee train driver or does it differ in anyway. i.e. pysometric tests, mmi and dmi. if not how does it work? thanks rick. just applied for allerton liverpool.

Just applied for a track maintenance operative in m/cr. Anyone know what a typical day involves. A friend of mine said it's a young man's job. Also salary is 22000 but he said u can earn alot more with shift pay, weekend work, overtime etc. Is that true? Any help much appreciated...
Bloody hell feel like a teenager compared to u lot haha. No seriously thanks alot guys it's spurred me on. It just gets a bit disheartening getting knock backs but I'm certainly not Gona give up. One thing I've learnt off this forum its a long process from start to finish. Thanks again Rick ☺
At 45 yrs old is it generally to old to get into rail industry. Ive been looking at trying to get into depot train driving to no avail. Any ideas of what jobs would suit someone of my age. Limited to jobs in m/cr and surrounding areas as kids in school. Thanks in advance. Rick
Hi, dont know if this sounds daft but i would of thought in this day and age there would be somewhere else apart from TOC s where you could learn and qualify to drive a train. i mean like a paid course somewhere especially wheres theres money to be made by a company doing this? :D
