Awww dude!! Just read your message re 1st October & decided to cave & phone them to chase. 1st October at 2pm!!! ARGH. As you say, cutting it a bit fine, particularly for you guys working notice. My issue will be having to sign a lease before passing the medical... this feels very, very bad!! Or can leave it til the last minute to find a place to live. Ah nuts.

Like you, I know there is nothing to worry about, however I'm getting paranoid about mystery heart conditions... or the fact that I'm 5'3": some TOCs quote minimum height 5'3", some 5'4"... and what if i've shrunk?!?! Ah man this is baaaad... All jokes aside, you do read posts on here about people failing the medical, it would just be a total disaster, I'd be so gutted

No I was okay re notice period - I happened to leave work mid August for other reasons... the callback for this just came at a ridiculously good time! So I'm just itching to get started, in limbo a bit at the moment. Counting down the days til we have the medical done and passed so that can start moving.

Just reading a SWT's trainee driver's blog atm, trying to pick up on anything I can read up about safely in advance (lots of posts on here say to wait for the course before going through rule book etc!)

Keep in touch about how you get on over the next week or so! Will let you know if anything interesting happens this way

Hey there - congrats also!! How did you find the final interview??

I think we should expect to receive something in writing on Friday / Saturday: I rang HR yesterday to chase my medical date (as I'm trying to tie in visits to Manchester with house-hunting) and they said they hadn't been able to book them in yet. She said that letters would be generated & sent on Thursday evening (why?!?) and these would have details of the medical on them. Apparently they are trying to stick to the 24th / 26th September for medicals, but could always be different. A little short notice if a letter only lands on Friday/Saturday to advise of appointment on Monday... but we'll see!
