Train passenger wakes to find £100 gift from stranger

What a lovely story. Mind you, I did give £100 to a struggling 24 year old just this morning...mind you it was my daughter!

    Thameslink/ Class 700 Progress

I travel on the 700s about 4 times a week and something I've noticed is a lot of windows have been vandalised (specifically in the first class ends where I try to sit). Basically the culprit has created swirly patterns by scratching, presumably with a diamond etc, the window interiors. Anyone...

Can anyone tell me which 700 took the 1810 Bed-TB last night? Think it might have been 104 but not sure. Many thanks.

Aboard 103 as I type. Pis working fine and I'm very impressed with the 1st accommodation. The windows are also HUGE!

Jut nip down to the Thameslink platforms under Pancras and wait for one to rock up. My advice would be to pop along the road to Pizza Union which will satisfy your needs much more thoroughly.

    Thameslink/ Class 700 Progress

Trouble is it's not a joking matter for anyone; we, the paying public, will have to endure the situation for many years to come. For the record I can just about manage in most Electrostar airline seats because the legroom allows an inch or so between my knees and the seat in front, but on the...

Comments such as this are not helping the situation and reinforce a paradigm held by some about rail insiders' attitudes to the public. I urge you to try using a laptop on a 700 with the airline seat legroom provided. Then be sure to get back to us.

I was under the impression that FLUs were to be used in the long distance runs. Did I get that the wrong way round?

    Class 333s

Makes me feel old as I still think of the 333s as brand new! Has this unit been withdrawn then?

^ This. Unless having your legs wedged against the seat in front and at a 45 degree angle (in the window seat) is an improvement. The trains are good but the seating is a disgrace, in my opinion.
