    26004 Restoration Update

Restoration at Bo'ness has been held up. Ahead, in the restoration queue are some coaches. However 004's battery box frame has been fettled and ready for when the batteries go in. We hope that, once room becomes available in the diesel shed, restoration of 004 will begin in earnest.

6LDA Group Preserving 26004 and 26024. Fundraisers wanted!

The 6LDA (owners of 26004 and 26024) AGM in MAy 2011 went very well with an increased turnout of 50%. Over the last year we have increased shareholder contributions. But with the majority of the restoration of 26004 ahead of us we need increased contributions. We are in an economic downturn and...

    6LDA Group Preserving 26004 and 26024

Excellent Callum. Top man. Yes I am the Treasurer, Brendan. I met you after the 6LDA meeting this year. The AGM went very well. We had 7 members attending which for us was a big improvement on last year. Whilst fund levels are reasonable, we have a mountain to climb regarding the...

It works like this: Wish to buy something online? Go to "easyfundraising" site, enter your details once, select 6LDA...

I run the "IsleofManTram" yahoo group. One of my members, Robert Hendry, has reported an extremely serious situation developing regarding the stock owned by the Isle of Man Railway and Tram Preservation Society. If you are concerned about the plight of the Trams in the article below in...

    The Traws Train

Although I am cautious about this project, it would be a wonderful new addition. It is also not so far away from Llangollen. That is IF it gets underway AND he definitely has diesels! Has he got any stock already? Or is it still a paper project?

Proposed new passenger line will link in with Midland Railway Centre

Yes. I like the look of it. However there are some seemingly well reasoned posts from a few experienced people pointing out many pit-falls. Mr Ferguson I know from the Ecclesborne Valley Railway. I'm game for any extension of the rail network. But it is going to be a really tough slog. Look...
