The 6LDA (owners of 26004 and 26024) AGM in MAy 2011 went very well with an increased turnout of 50%. Over the last year we have increased shareholder contributions. But with the majority of the restoration of 26004 ahead of us we need increased contributions.
We are in an economic downturn and people do not have much, if any, disposable cash. As such, I am looking at increasing the amount generated by fundraising other than the buying of 6LDA shares. "Easyfundraising" and "Easysearch" are two excellent ways of doing just that. I was wondering if other preservation groups have experience of using these forms of fundraising? I set up ours about 8 months ago but have found it difficult encouraging members or supporters to participate. It doesn't cost the user anything at all. And yet we have just 8 supporters, all shareholders I think.
If any other pres groups or individuals wish to try out "Easyfundraising" and "Easysearch" you can click on the link below.
