    Why are EMT so expensive?

    East Midlands Trains have upped their fares quite a bit recently. For Saturday travel from St Pancras to Nottingham it's now about £36 return (£18 for 2 advance singles). A couple of months back it was around £24.... Now looking at going via Grantham as quite a bit cheaper and only 10 or so...

    Can anybody help me. Will be travelling from Euston to Preston on Saturday 13th March. Aiming to get the 1030 out and 1758 back but the cheapest fares i can find are £35.10 up and £17.00 back so £52.10 for a return which seems quite high for an advance fair.... Have looked at going via...
