Yes that's me ,
No problems , always best to chat to people who are on the course now or have recently been through it. I'm out with my minder now getting my hours in. It's been hard work but worth it, really enjoy the role.
Good luck in whatever you decide Andrew :)
Hi Andrew hope you are well ,
Thought I'd post since you gave me all that advice for our conductor course. During driver training you will be on your basic conductor wage (no Sunday's or commission) . During your classroom training will you beable to claim travel to and from your depot . Once...
Snap, I also left the ambulance service to become a guard . Cotty, It's a role I would recommend with its own challenges and responsibilities. The conditions are generally very good as is the pay. It's certainly been a shock to the system after leaving the public services after nearly 16years...

Well I'm still going for it anyway and I'm sure I'll enjoy it whilst it lasts and all been well ill have a long future in the rail industry. Every industry is going through change after change at the moment my last 2 jobs I've seen massive changes (both public services) so it's not a new thing...
Well I've had the same thoughts and worries myself , I've just been through a down banding battle which was lost and it's not a nice postion to be in losing income . But I'm willing to take the risk not been happy were I am now. But the consultation doc states doo on suitable services and along...

I'm really over the moon i'm excited about the opportunity if not a little nervous about the career change. I'm hoping for my medical next Friday as thats my only day off next week but that should still give me time to work my notice as I've still got some...
I've also received the same phone call so all been well on my medical I'll be starting on the 4th !! Going to struggle to get to the medical before next week so I'll be cutting it fine with my notice period but I think I'll be ok fingers crossed. Well done all for passing and getting a start date.
