I applied for the position in Leeds back in Feb, any ideas how long the turnaround is normally? New to this forum, first post couldn't find a thread for the Leeds job.

Hi, did anyone have interviews last week, hope they went well if so. I had mine and was quite nervous so hopefully I managed to get across the relevant answers without waffling to much. I know I could have answered a couple of questions better and been more specific with examples. Hindsight !! I know they are wanting people to start soon and some assessments centre dates are set for next week so have been working through the workbook just in case I get through the interview stage.

Had a email today saying that i have passed the interview stage phew. Assessment next week one last hurdle even though a big one ! Good luck to any others who've applied and received the good news today.

That is some wait doesn't sound to common though after reading a few posts. Hope you get a start date soon.

My advice,practice the shapes test but don't go mental......stay calm throughout and keep a steady but accurate pace,less lines but more correct answers is key I believe.Good luck

I got through the interview had mine on Tuesday 3rd june and was invited to tests, only to be called later by northern saying I cannot sit the tests as I did them with TPE back in march but TPE told me I could do them as long as with a different company, I have got to wait till September now, totally gutted and devastated this is the only job I want to do, what was your interview date ? you got through, good luck

You can't take the tests for 6 months. TPE surely know this. Fail again and that's the end.

found out that I was given bad advice by a new starter at first group tpe, she couldn't apologise enough but doesn't help me become a conductor, gutted big time, got to wait till September onwards now for role to come up...... not happy

After what has been a nerve wrecking email checking week, finally found out today that I've passed the conductor assessment. So I'm quite happily paddling in the talent pool now instead of looking in.

well done to anyone else who passed and I hope to see you in conductor training soon and if not fingers crossed for next time and keep trying don't give up.

Its been a tough selection procedure and its good to be out the other side mate . Now its just a matter of sitting tight and keeping fingers crossed that's there s some vacancies coming up soon.

Well I got the phone call this morning from Northern....

I got the job!!!

Absolutely over the moon, I just have to go to my Medical but I will begin training on the 4th of August in Leeds.
