313 206 has no pantograph! Its seats look like the high-backed variety, and with a lack of suitable armrests. Automated PA systems have been installed, together with LED destination displays. New floors, walls and lighting have also been fitted. Tart up 36 year old crap.....how very NSE-esque.

Uckfield (old station) closed in 1991/2. Newhaven Marine is open on the books, but haven't seen it in the timetable for a few years! Railtours no longer use it, and the platform is fenced off to the public. Southern use it for crew familiarisation with 313s.

Lewes - Uckfield was closed for 500 yards of road, and British Rail wasn't prepared to build any sort of overbridge over Phoenix Causeway, so deliberately allowed the railway bridge over Cliffe High Street to deteriorate to a point where shuttles between Barcombe and Lewes with a 2H opperated...
