Can the extra platform at Salford Crescent help with congestion ? last few times I’ve traveled on that through to Piccadilly has been held before and in Castlefield area. L

If I knew this before leaving the office I could have walked to Picc and caught it there. Is it unreasonable to expect to be notified of these events before getting to the station? I always check RTT but this showed no problem for 17:18.

I think the best is 7:35 Chester to Crewe - Manchester Picc - Manchester Oxford Road. Should work okay. Not so lucky for passengers going to other stations like Warrington.
