Entering Alicante 8 days ago was ok. We had no idea if we could / should use the eGates and ended up at the registration gubbins which did not like my specs and having removed them I could not read the instructions. We had this at Luton Airport Parkway - the lady at the airport end of the DART station let us through but we were then stuck not being able to get to the platforms. Of course we were 1.5 hours early for the train so fair enough and there are seats there and a loo... eventually there were a few...

That worked nicely for a day trip to Vilnius, very easy to use. And first class tickets get you into the 'VIP lounge' in Vilnius (which also has a toilet - the main station one had a long queue).

Got to Kaunas, Lithuania a week ago and we were diverted to a channel that bypassed all the returning EU citizens - I thought we'd been directed wrong but then had face pics and fingerprints done in about 2 mins. On leaving yesterday we gave plenty of time just in case and found passport control...
