First Great Western - Trainee Drivers

Had my medical today which has passed pending drug test results so hopefully won't be to long before I get to sign on the dotted line! I've been told I should be on the May training course. Does anybody know if there are any leave periods during training?? To hopefully offer a bit of optimism...

The same as what septus has said really. The interviewers were friendly and it was more relaxed but a lot of non stop questions, giving examples of certain situations e.t.c.

During my stage 2 assessment last week one of the other lads mentioned that we could use the e-mail confirmation for the assessment/interview we are attending to travel for free on first group trains to that event. Can anyone clarify this?

    Greater Anglia trainee drivers

I went with FGW, I applied late november and within a week I heard that I'd passed the application and several online tests and got an invite to a telephone interview. Since then I've sat all assessments and have my final interview next week, I can't believe how quick it has been! So don't...

I had the e mail saying I need to book my interview for trainee driver reading this morning. This afternoon I have also had a reply from the recruitment team, as I sent them an e mail yesterday, confirming that I'm now going for reading instead of oxford.

    The new 2 hand test..

Probably the test I found hardest. I went out of the lines lots of times and thought I'd failed but I think it must be down to how quick you get it back in as I passed it, as did the 5 others sitting it at the same time.

I'm in a bit of disbelief really, can't believe how quick the whole process has been! I'm over the moon but at the same time trying not to get carried away as there's another interview to go yet. It's been confirmed that they've switched me to reading and I've got my final interview there on the...

I sat the new style assessments with FGW, they done it in 2 stages, the 1st stage was the group bordon test, glop test, tea-occ, the dials and the written communication test. We got sent practice materials, its all fairly basic, just make sure you understand each test before you start. They've...
