The new 2 hand test..

Afternoon all.
Can anyone who has taken the new 2 hand test give us any idea of how tricky it is please?
Is it negotiable after a little practice or is it actually quite tricky guiding the ball round the curvy part of the shape in particular?
Did you find it hard to keep the speed of it in check and find yourself having to get it back inside the lines a few times or were your steady hands nerveless and got you a pass with flying colours?

Probably the test I found hardest. I went out of the lines lots of times and thought I'd failed but I think it must be down to how quick you get it back in as I passed it, as did the 5 others sitting it at the same time.

One thing I did notice at OPC in Watford was that there was a difference on one of the controllers which another candidate used. With all the others the controls are like my old radio controlled car I had as a kid. One lever can only move either up/down the other left /right. One controller had the gate missing which meant one of the levers could move in four directions more like a game joystick. I would look out for this and query it if yours is different to other candidates as the test is meant to be equal. I agree with the previous poster that the important element of the test is how quick you correct the mistake rather than the mistakes made. I went out the lines many times and still passed. Another word of warning is that the controls are linear not like a Play Station control where the speed of movement of the joystick accelerates the item on the screen. I would say using an old radio controlled car handset is the best and nearest practice to steady your hands

Well done to you both on getting through it. Nice to hear that going outside the lines many times isn't necessarily a disaster. Probably the test that I'm not looking forward to and cheers for the heads up on the controller, I'll look out for it!

The control panel I used was like you mentioned, both joysticks were able to move in all directions, but whilst still only responding to up/down and left/right. That being said I don't believe it was that hard, take your time and control your nerves.
