Yes, we were travelling between Shrewsbury and Mach on Friday and Saturday.
I have never seen so many empty units stacked up outside Mach, presumably waiting for their 'repairs'. What with the new trains coming soon, I wonder if these repairs aren't happening as quickly as usual to save money...
It's always worth putting a complaint in if you don't get the food offered in 1st class.
Last year I travelled on an early morning Avanti Glasgow-Euston and was looking forward to a hot breakfast. The only thing they could offer was porridge that morning.
Wrote in to complain and got an...
Can anybody advise please. I'm currently on my return journey from Plymouth to Fratton. On a whim I would like to stop off in Dawlish and Taunton, stay overnight there and continue my journey home tomorrow on super off peak valid trains. Am I allowed to do this on this ticket or do I need to buy...
Is it just me or has travelling by train become a bit more of a rollercoaster ride?
Today's unpleasant ride was between Chichester and Southborne. Passengers looking at each other with alarm at the severity of the rocking of the carriages.

To my surprise my return from Euston to Glasgow Central was bang on time this week.
However that didn't stop one carriage being evacuated at Preston when the heavy showers outside started falling inside the train, through the gangway connector and on my return leg no less than 3 catering staff...

We were on the 1245 from Wolverhampton to Euston on the 6th July. We had seat reservations.
The train was packed already, and it was clear that, due to the displays not working...

Two new ones to add to the plethora of announcements that SWR seem to think we need to hear.
'Please keep your feet off the seats' and
'Please use the litter bins provided'.
How long will it be until we get one in the toilets saying,
'Please make sure you flush the toilet after use'.
I just...
I would seek out the train guard as soon as possible and make them aware of your worries. These trains are rarely empty even late at night so you will have plenty of other law abiding passengers around you for reassurance.
Happened to me twice now at Woking with a change from platform 4 to 5 for the Portsmouth service just as it's coming into the station. No announcement either.
