I noticed this too - waited 8 min at West Hampstead yesterday. Because of the game on at Wembley, I had to leave that one go and wait another 3 min before I could board!
Queens Park (London) has an odd PA system. "The next train to arrive at Platform 2 will be the, London Underground, service, to Elephant and Castle, calling at Elephant and Castle"
For the Overground services it tends to announce a train is standing at a platform with all it's calling points...
My missus has a Z2-4 travelcard and we travel into Z1 all the time, by using PAYG credit to cover the Z1 fare (2.40). So if she was stopped she would be in trouble?
I travelled West Hampstead TL - Gatwick over the summer heading on holidays and couldn't believe how slow the journey felt. The return journey (at 3am) was via Streatham and felt faster, even though it was 10 min longer overall.
I commute from Queens Park into central London on the Bakerloo and I can't imagine how much more overcrowded it would be in the morning without the Overground taking some of the pressure off. Besides it's a faster option to the Euston area for those who need it.
I'd have said get the Victoria line from Victoria to Green Park and change for the Jubilee there to London Bridge. You'd comfortably be in London Bridge in well under a half hour then.
Strike info updated on Southern site, it has this line
I'm flying out on the 8th, so does the above mean I can use my Southern Only ticket to Gatwick on the Gatwick Express?
