Hear me out - how about Bradford (reopened exchange) to Marylebone via Leicester. Could also stop at Halifax, Huddersfield, and reopened Sheffield and Nottingham Victoria stations. Could even give it a name - something like the South Yorkshireman? I like to think of myself as visionary.

I think Leicester (4 platforms for 400000 people) probably gets off proportionately worse than Bradford’s 8 for 500000. Maybe you should start a thread on Bradford crossrail - it doesn’t get talked about nearly enough
