I was wondering wether acton bridge was worth visiting on a saturday or a week day ? Or are there any other stations worth a visit ? I want some freight and west coast photographs . Many thanks in advance . :D

I've never been to Barnetby, I only wanted some freight photos and I'm starting to think now Doncaster with more variety of locomotives and rolling stock is the better option. :D
If i was to go to Barnetby on a Saturday is it worth going as I have to travel from Leeds?
Also What type of locomotives or units apart from class 66s on freight am I likely to see?

there are many variations in what people say and your rights . but i hope this link will clear things up . don't forget to make a print out of this to put in your camera bag just in case an overzealous police officer , pcso or just a stupid thick security guard doesn't know the law ...
thank you all for your postings . it seems the railways can make up there own rules(not abiding by there own guidelines) but how about this for a solution , you buy the cheapest return ticket eg my local station is guiseley so if i go to leeds shopping or in the car , you could buy a return...
how do you gain access to platforms without buying a ticket ? is there still such things as platform tickets ? and how do station staff react to spotters and photography ? i`m thinking of mainline stations like leeds . thanks.
