Hi,
I landed into Gatwick and picked up a ticket (reading the details from it) OFF-PEAK TCDS Gatwick Airport & LONDON ZONES 1-6 Route SOUTHERN ONLY.
I traveled to Victoria and my ticket did not work on the barrier to leave the station. I gave it to the member of staff on the barrier and...
I mean, I believe I can get that a train London Waterloo-Richmond-Hampton Wick as it is a direct train with no changes.
By being on a 'permitted' train/route can one not simply break one's journey?
Hi,
I have a ticket from Hampton Wick to Welwyn Garden City return, with Hampton Wick being on the London Waterloo-Clapham Junction-Richmond-Hampton Wick-Wimbledon-Clapham Junction-London Waterloo loop.
I travelled out on the shortest route from Hampton Wick via Kingston to London...
Hi,
I bought a new annual season ticket last week but have just had news from work that I will be posted overseas for a couple of months.
My question is...
(a) Can I get a refund for the ticket?
(b) Is it guaranteed or discretionary?
(c) How would the pro-rata refund be...
Hi,
If I hold a CDR off-peak ticket from A-C (route A-B-C) with a restriction of 'After 9am', and want to start short at B-C, how does the restriction apply?
Would the ticket be valid on a train leaving B at 09:01? Or only on trains timed to depart A after 09:00, and therefore arriving at...
Hi,
I have an advance ticket for early tomorrow morning that I bought from the ticket office at the starting station for travel, and want to travel on an earlier service and change the ticket up to a walk-up fare.
The only problem is the ticket office at the starting station isn't open...
Hi,
A friend of mine has a Zones 1-3 Travelcard on Oyster and he is making the journey from London Paddington [PAD] to Bristol Temple Meads [BRI] this weekend - out on Saturday and back on Sunday.
The cheapest fares seem to be for walkup: SSR £53.50, and Advance: £49.50.
I've looked at...
I'm sorry but I've got to draw the line here.
This member of staff was very much not doing the best he could.
I was completely polite and reasonable with him, but that is very different from going above and beyond what is required in an already bad situation for the customer.
I declined...
He at first said that 'as I have no ticket, I have to buy a new one' - I said that (politely) he's entitled to his opinion but I wasn't going to buy a new ticket as I believed mine were valid. After several bits of back and forth he asked me to write my name address and DoB on a slip of blank...
Great - thanks for this.
Point 1 was mainly around if they withdraw it and escalate it to legal action my risk if I'm wrong is much higher. Right now my worst-case is just to pay it and try and claim it back.
I am drafting a letter now which I will send to them over the weekend, I will...
Thanks for your response.
I never said the ticket choice was dodgy, but I have heard that some of the more obscure and beneficial loopholes are at risk of being closed off if they are made common knowledge. My understanding is that it's not dodgy, it's either valid or it's not?
In my post...
I've had reassurance from RJ and soil that the combo is valid, so I don't want to reveal it on here unless necessary.
Two interesting points are that two separate ticket offices issued me with seat reservations for the through trains both out and return based on the combination of tickets...
