The number 6 in Weston-super-Mare. It runs every 70 minutes in the day with no service in the evening or on a Sunday. Plus it takes an arse about face way to get into town.
The number 3 it replaced was much better.
Probably a Weston vehicle, they use E400MMCs now alongside the Yutongs as they only have 5 Streetdecks left and only 1 of those would be anywhere near Hotwells today
At Paris Charles de Gaulle, easyJet use a mixture at Terminal 2B.
We flew out Monday morning from Bristol and were put on a stand with a jet bridge which was used, last night the aircraft was put onto a remote stand and we were bussed over to it.
TUI generally turn the lights right down apart from a blue strip for night time take off and landing and after the trolley service turn them right down at night until just before landing, to tidy everything and do checks then turn them down again.
I am sure coming out of Charles de Gaulle in...
An easyJet flight from Lisbon to London (not sure which airport) landed at Cardiff about 30 minutes ago. I noticed it fly over low in the wrong direction when I was out with the dog. We are under the flight path for Bristol and are used to seeing them come in to land in the opposite direction...
The GWR ones are fine and have been refurbished very well, other than a few seats with not much leg room. Except the acquired examples which still have 3x2 seats. It’s down to the TOC and how well l they were refurbished.
We don’t get them round here anymore, but would rather get on one of...
The fares on the A3 Airport Flyer from Weston are reasonable at £7 return. This isn’t much more expensive than what Bristol Airport charge to park for 10 minutes and this is a service contracted to First by Bristol Airport.
The A1 Airport Flyer is more expensive at £15 return, but still far...
If you want to go Fast Track at Bristol, register for their newsletter and you regularly receive emails with discounts for that as well as parking and the lounges
They should have developed Filton as Bristol Airport, it is in a much better location. It wasn’t as high up to avoid the weather problems, had a much longer runway and if it was open now is a few minutes off of the motorway on a dual carriageway and has a train line running alongside.
At Bristol you can avoid Duty Free by going through a door off of security, though it takes you to a corridor where you either have to go up the stairs or take the lift to the mezzanine floor.
TBH there, it is quicker to go through the Duty Free as it comes out where most of the inadequate...
I’ve been on both a TUI 737-800 & a 737-MAX8 and noticed hardly any difference. The only differences I noticed were the seats were chunkier on the 737-800 and the screens folded out of the ceiling and showed the map and on the 737-MAX8 there were USB ports in the seats.
They have had that on the destination for some time, it happened before 03/09/23. I think it appeared a similar time to the X1 started displaying ‘X1 Weston-super-Mare/Bristol Direct via A370’.
The X1 now shows that until it reaches Sainsbury’s in Worle before changing to ‘Searle Crescent via...
With the changes to the X1 in Weston going to The Bournville and the X5 presumably going though Congresbury, Yatton & Kenn again will more deckers be required? Some will be saved when the 20 decreases for the winter, but will there be enough? Weston already has the E400MMC from Cymru and the...
