The return portion is to travel back from Parkstone to East Croydon.
I would be changing trains at Clapham Junction between 1559 and 1910 if I get on many of the mid afternoon trains from Parkstone, so does that count as "not valid if boarding" at Clapham Junction? It's very confusing.
I'd...
Hi All,
I've not been able to find clear information on this via the SWR website. It's all a little vague and focused on travelling out of London.
I am travelling from Parkstone (Dorset) back to East Croydon, via Clapham Junction. I have a super off peak open return.
Some information...
Thanks both. This makes sense now. I'd just never had the £0.95 fare and thought it was odd...
But looking back through the journeys, it turns out we've never been able to use the direct Thameslink route on a Sunday. We have been doing this journey since February and there has always been a...
This is from last week, but its the same every time - no matter which route we take...

Thanks for explaining the £1.90 cost -- it's weird that Fare Finder doesn't know this and give that as the cost though.
And regarding the £0.90 -- I thought it was going up to £0.95 but it just...
Hi All,
I'm trying to clarify the fare costs for my 14 year old with a Zip Oyster card that makes sure she gets the cild fares when travelling with her Oyster card across London.
We do a journey from St Pancras to Norwood Junction and TFL Fare finder says it will be £0.95 off peak and £2.65...
Hi All,
I typically travel via Greater Anglia, but occasionally use other trains (when going to Kent or Dorset for example). I have been buying all my tickets via the Greater Anglia site, as it's the one I use the most and am used to the layout etc, but if a 'delay repay' issue occurs and I'm...
All the train company sites have an option to set via St Pancras, but when I do they say there aren't any options available. The RailUK ticketing site does offer those options though, but gives such a huge gap between arriving at St Pancras and heading on via Thameslink to Norwood Junction.
I...
I would like to but for at least a while St Pancras is better as I can meet right at the gate and can see the train come in and there is no chance they'll miss the stop. Stratford International is below ground level, all weird stairs to get down to it, and I assume a few ways to get up to the...
Hi All,
My teenager is travelling alone for the first time and going on the high speed train from Ashford to St Pancras is much less scary for them, so we are starting with that. I will meet them at St Pancras and travel on Thameslink back to Norwood Junction. This will be this Friday...
I think it would be an Off Peak Return, but return within one month type. I assume advance singles wouldn't allow this, but are there other types I should avoid?
Thank you for your help!
Hi All,
If I bought a return from Ashford International to St Pancras International, can I exit at Stratford International on the outbound journey, but return from St Pancras?
Where I need to be is better for Stratford on the way up but when I come back a couple of days later, St Pancras is...
Thank you - having to change and get a rail replacement bus is enough reason to be fine with the additional 20min journey. Plus, getting collected from Bournemouth doesn't save enough time to counteract the additional traveling to pick me up that family will have to do. Worth a try though...
Oh... I thought it might be when there is no gate at all and you just walk out of the station and have to remember to tap your card. Good to know I should avoid helpful staff opening gate for me with luggage! Thanks!
