Can I recommend The Fox in Shipley. Fast rotating selection of ales real cider and just a minute away from the station. Also has train (and bus) departure boards. I've bumped into a few forum members there. Around about £5 per pint, check the chalkboard.

The first train is delayed this morning by about 4 minutes. Slightly holding up the later one. Could go either way today.

For family reasons I am often at Shipley shortly after 8am and have been jumping on the fancy new 331 at 8013 from platform 1. However every day we sit outside Leeds and get to watch and listen to the slower 158 from Carlisle that leaves Shipley 5 minutes later go past and it even gets a better...

Seems something is wrong with the timetable data for Skipton to Leeds direct services. Showing as another operator and no advance fares.

The window display says 27th December. I was in a rush walking past but it looked fully kitted out. My office has a proper canteen again with a full English under £3 so I'm not quite as excited as some.

The southern entrance was closed this afternoon. Didn't get chance to find out why but loads of people running to the other open entrances. Missed my train and i'm sure many others have or will do too.

Just got £100 for buying my Northen season ticket.

If the train goes past the signal at the end of platform 2 then presumably it would occupy the overlap before the crossover and so nothing could come from the carriage sidings (or Gargrave). Or are ECS moves out allowed unsignalled?

I once cooked a fry up on the platform at Stevenage on my trangia about 15 years ago. Never been into the town, just the Asda.

Watched it for the first time last night. It was brutal.

Will the boards on the main concourse be replaced? They are relatively new but annoying show the platform as 'On Time' rather than the platform number most of the time.

Shame that there are no longer any large clocks on the platforms. It's getting hard to judge if I need to walk quicker. Must annoy the dispatchers.

I caught the 0702 from Shipley. Saw a fair few leave on a bus to Leeds, no idea why they would do that. It's a shame that they can't run shuttles to Shipley when there is disruption and use Shipley as an interchange for buses. Maybe when the depot gets built here it will become the centre of...
