I'm not saying that. I'm saying its not your business as to who has or hasn't paid the correct fare for their journey unless you are employed by the TOC to do that job.

Its not your business whether or not they are entitled to it (free travel). Its down to the employers of the train operating company to enforce. Next you'll be saying that the priv rate tickets should be withdrawn altogether and that rail staff should pay the fare like everyone else! :roll:

Testing is normally to +10 percent of line speed.

I'm sure when you get the job second time around, that you'll feel its a great achievement. Its something many aspire to be but most will not achieve myself included.

GB, how many attempts have you had at the train driver assessment process?

Can anyone tell me what wages are like for a Driver and a Guard on a typical heritage railway set up? Also are any heritage railway operations allowed to do more than 25 mph in service with passengers on?

I don't know much about signalling but - are you sure 125 mph is permitted under 2 and 3 aspect signalling sections? AFAIK 125 mph sections are always 4 aspect signalled?

TGV you are a rolling stock engineer right? Is that a fitter? Do you look after the 365s? I guess I am biased as I used to work with 465/9s which I thought are similar to the 365s.
