    710112 collision with Buffers at Liverpool Street Station (15/10/2026)

    I've just seen some pictures sent to me showing LO 710112 has collided with the buffer stops and has derailed, at least one bogie on front carriage and all of the second carriage. Platform 1/2 are obviously blocked. I won't share pictures as unsure where they have come from.

    Surely that was the purpose of testing when they used the TPE 802 to do several months of battery testing based out of Newton Aycliffe? Also the shells for Lumo/FG units have started to arrive at Newton Aycliffe from Japan, all shells to come from Japan and be fitted out at Aycliffe.

    807 are electric! 805 are Bimode, but as discussed at length the carriages are to long to allow 2 x 5 car sets to be platformed at St Pancras.

    if I recall GWR 5 car sets only have a wheelchair accessible space in the first class carriage, none in standard. So a 10 car set only has 2 areas, both the first class compartments.     since Hitachi took over the Italian factory, what units have they built/designed? How are they operating in comparison with the 810s? It is several years (7-8+?) since Hitachi took over, you would think the past reputation could be forgotten about by now.

    I very much doubt the pressure has lifted, after all they have not accepted any more units for several weeks. Indicating focus is very much on the units accepted and getting them to a standard that they should already of been at.
