New Alstom units for TransPennine routes.

But these are to replace the class 185 services which use the slow lines north of York to Northalleron, the slow lines are not 125mph line speed. So 110mph is still faster than what the slow lines permit.

New Alstom units for TransPennine routes.

Without seeing a full picture of the whole train I think only the leading carriage will have one door and all intermediate coaches will have 2. 1789078797 A picture which shows 2 seat backs is hardly a basis to form an opinion on what the seats on the train will be like.

Where are the pictures of the seats? Not seen any pictures of the interior yet.

New Alstom units for TransPennine routes.

Without seeing any pictures of intermediate coaches it's hard to say how many doors those carriages will have. Could just be the end coaches which have one door.

Great British Railways - First Train in New Livery

It is over 5 years until these will be introduced into traffic, I think it's a bit early to be commenting on what the final livery will look like on these units. I can imagine they will be many tweaks and alterations by then.

Great British Railways - First Train in New Livery

Yes, exactly the same as when hst's, mk4 sets etc were liveried and then split up over time to become mismatched.

    Stockport Platform Zero Closed

How easy is it to retime it? You can't just retime a service as it will then interfere with something else further up the line eg Manchester Piccadilly

Great British Railways - First Train in New Livery

I thought there was a document showing the names each line will be 'named', eg it is GBR Anglia, no mention of Greater. For the current LNER that becomes GBR - East Coast. I think the pictures are someone's attempt to show what could be done with out full GBR livery being applied.

    Flying Scotsman being towed

Normally kept hush hush as NR get twitchy about people lineside for its moves. Its does usually show up on RTT on the day it's going to move.

    Arriva North East

Just quoting what I was told. Was told Ashington need two small busses for weekend services. Driver is taking 1479 back to Ashington this afternoon and they themselves quoted 2710 to bring back.

    Arriva North East

Pulsar 1479 from Ashington (I think) in loan to Darlington to cover for 2710 which is covering at Ashington/Blyth (unsure which).

GBRf Class 99 - 30 locomotives now ordered

And on how many occasions have they been seen? I can only ever recall 2-3 times purely for rescuing purposes. The times I am referring to in earlier post is when RTT shows found Pendolino sets operating in passenger operation, which does not happen.

GBRf Class 99 - 30 locomotives now ordered

RTT takes its information from what is allocated in the systems. They do not just create a number to put against the handover. The number showing on RTT must of been allocated and then amended. The date feeds then take ages to update external systems. The same happens many many times when...

That's wasn't inferred in original post or made clear:

Incident between Wigan Wallgate and Southport (29th August 2026)

So user fault and not a fault or issue created by Network Rail? 1788027155 By the person who is saying that there is an issue or fault with the relevant crossing!

Incident between Wigan Wallgate and Southport (29th August 2026)

If that is correct that sounds like a very fundamental flaw which should have been reported to the relevant authorities on each and every occasion this occurs.
