    90029 travelled light engine this afternoon from Bounds Green to Doncaster West Yard (0Z90). Booked as a VTEC service, strangely timed for 74mph on RTT, took about four hours as it dropped into various loops en route.

    Noticed a VTEC set heading south yesterday with the 91 at southern end, and again heading north on Sunday afternoon (think it was 1S22 KX - Edinburgh). Not sure of the number, just saw it flash by at a level crossing.

    Also means no Sheffield -Cleethorpes via Brigg line services on Saturday 17 June - understand this will be Rail Replacement Bus throughout. Shame on a summer Saturday for this line.

    Was thinking more about a service via Doncaster and not a continuation of the current Lincoln - Sheffield service (which is what I think Northern are proposing)

    Passengers change at Worksop/Retford/Gainsborough for onward trains to Cleethorpes via Brigg. Hmmm if only! Brigg line might see some more freight in next day or two (if boxes are open).
