Hey, I noticed your messages about the Dumfries guards job. I am very interested in the role and am a qualified guard elsewhere. Would you know what the shift pattern is like at all? Any long weekends? Thanks
Hi
Probably would be. What I would say is that its rare to go direct from TE to driver but has been done. You'd probably need to go up to a conductor Grade first then driver.
I'd like to know if there'd be more chance of becoming a driver for Scotrail if I was a ticket inspector, or if I should just stay as a Subway driver and apply for a driving position when it comes up.
