This gives us just enough time to go the bus stop opposite the station, to get the last bus of the night on D A C Coaches route 79, leaving at 1917, and getting into Tavistock Bus Station at 1935 on Tuesday evening

I hate to be the harbinger of bad tidings, but the service 79 that you describe and the final one three hours later are headed "FS" in the timetable which means they only run on Fridays and Saturdays only...it is Tuesday on the quiz. However there is the other service...The X79 run by that company which makes your posting valid with its timing.

We spend some time having a well-earrned meal and back at the bus station, we board the 2145 First in Devon and Cornwall service 86 that arrives in Plymouth (Western Approaches) at 2236 on Tuesday night.

damn, I got a bit scrambled up there
I was talking about Marple as in Greater Manchester (we tend to refer to that station as 'the Bridge' to differentiate from Rose Hill. I got confused and thought we were at SHeffield

Fortunately, there are a group of security officers who are going on duty at Manchester Airport at the stop in Benchill, who had just missed that last service, so we join them for protection and there is only a short time to wait for the final service of the day there from Benchill and we all board the 0114 Stagecoach Manchester "Skyline" 43 service that arrives at Manchester Airport interchange at 0125 in the very early hours of Thursday morning.

One hundred and forty-nine minutes later and we're on First TransPennine's 1P04 service, the 0412 service to Scarborough where we go as far as Leeds, arriving there at 0555 on Thursday morning.
