Fleetcards have arrived; they've been split as per the regions.

Let's just say accuracy leaves something to be desired...

The inner recesses of my tortured mind.
RIBBLE MOTOR SERVICES LTD T/A STAGECOACH IN LANCASHIRE, STAGECOACH NORTH WEST, T/A RIBBLE MOTOR SERVICES, BROADACRE HOUSE, 16 - 20 LOWTHER STREET, CARLISLE, CA3 8DA
Variation Accepted by SN: Operating between Chorley Interchange and Gillibands Burgh Wood given service number 18 effective from 12-Sep-2011. To amend Route and Timetable.
(I've heard a rumour this is to take the 2 Darts previously on 109?)

The recent service changes have reduced the 18 from a half-hourly service to an hourly service. This has led to many, many complaints to such an extent that the local MP Linseed Oil (sorry, Lyndsey Hoyle) has got involved and the upshot is that the company has agreed to put larger buses on the route, instead of the usual Solos. Unfortunately, the current route is not suited to Darts as it passes through housing estates and takes in tight turns at junctions and mini-roundabouts.

All that waffle was a very long-winded way of saying that you were correct

Freshly painted 47062 is out and about today on Moorclose Circulars.
34616 back on the road after p*ssing oil last weekend, on 31.
2 B10M's out on 31's as well.
20910 out on X4's.

47007 and 52628 seem to have gone missing from service, I haven't seen 47007 for quite a few weeks now.

I'm told 16331 is off service with minor roof damage, leaves LL with 11 deckers to cover the 12 decker boards, and got an LF PVR increase on Monday morning. Should be fun fun fun.

I've also heard that a Cummins delivery vehicle was spotted on Lillyhall Ind. Est. at the end of this week, any idea if it was delivering 17017's new engine? Been about 3 months since it blew yet again. Been in Cumbria just over 12 months and has spent approx. 8 of those dead in the depot.

That is the exact reason!

3 speed London gearbox doesn't suit long fast stretches (gearings are too low) followed by sharp uphills (longer ratios mean the torque converter can't be pumped out fast enough)....puts a lot of extra strain on the engine.

Yes they were/are more suited to Morecambe, however I can't see Morecambe losing a 2005 Trident and getting a 1999 in return...wouldn't go down well!

Not really, the S regs cope best with flat, low-speed city routes. Though they'd do better than in West Cumbria...

I'm assuming he's referring to the Olympians, which are comparable but step entrance of course (although they are 4 speed mostly).

Also worth remembering that the Tridents Morecambe had/have were the first 12-24 low floor vehicles delivered to London...

Are they? All of the R-NBV's are 3 speed Voith's, as are all of the N-NPN, N-MPN, N-LPN and N-LTN's. NC bodied P-HBA's are 4 speed ZF's, 16870 was new with a 4 speed ZF as well, but I have no idea what it has now, some times it sounds like a ZF and others it sounds like a Voith.

Your websites knackered for a change!

Maybe you'll need to change your webhost!

22104 was on 30 if not already reported.

aha... Schoolboy error on MB's part (in his defence... do you see that michael... i'm sticking up for you!!)

MB has changed the title (to the wrong address ) of the link in post#1, and left the link pointing to old site!!

HERE is a temporary, until he sorts it! :D

You been on the Vimto Michael??

http://mbonwick.cu.cc will be the new permanant address for my site. (And yes, I have fixed the first post!)

RE the gearboxes, that post did originally say "although most are 3 speeds" and I tried to say "only some are 4 speeds", but failed

EPIC FAIL! <:D

In other news...
34218 has just had a nice rare appearance on the last 30 Into Maryport about 23:55 (and was choc-a-bloc), before running dead back to Lillyhall!

Aye, no one is perfect - even I'm not that perfect unfortunately

20905 is now back in bloody Lilly's reserve fleet.

They should keep it on there on sunday as well. I have noticed on Solo's that it is rather packed going into Workington of a sunday.

Been at LL for a little while now. saw some use elsewhere.
although, if we do need an extra vehicle this coming week due to offages, and the imminent PVR increase on 30/1 from monday, i would assume this would be the vehicle, having already been fitted with an LED display, and also having already been an LL vehicle in the past.

Personally i would prefer 20966... That's the one with the front end off 20768! (woudl be like it's back to haunt the depot!!)

In all fairness, seating capacity is similar, all you are really gaining is an extra pram space. Long darts could be feasible though.

20966 doesn't have the front off 20768 unfortunately....when CE tried to mate the parts up they found they wouldn't fit! Obviously the body had changed in the intervening 4 years.

20905 must be off reserve then, I don't recall it going into service will LL after KL took 20795 to replace it.

It's Correction central tonight! although it does at least have 768's front grille with the holes (albeit covered from behind - if you look at a front end photo closely, you can see it!)

905 was in service at LL BEFORE KL had it.

And it was S**t...
